Strong Coupling of Antiferromagnetic Resonance with Subterahertz Cavity Fields

نویسندگان

چکیده

Strong coupling of electromagnetic cavity fields with antiferromagnetic spin waves in hematite ($\ensuremath{\alpha}$-${\mathrm{Fe}}_{2}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}$) is achieved above room temperature. A cube placed a metallic tube and the transmission measured, using continuous-wave terahertz spectrometer. The spectra, collected as function temperature, reveal formation magnetic polaritons.

Tunneling in epitaxial FeÕSiÕFe structures with strong antiferromagnetic interlayer coupling

Fe~5 nm!/Si~0.8–2 nm!/Fe~5 nm! structures are grown by molecular-beam epitaxy on Ag~001! buffered GaAs substrates. Ferromagnetic tunneling junctions with crossed electrodes and junction areas ranging from 22 to 225 mm are patterned using photolithography. Antiparallel alignment of the magnetizations due to antiferromagnetic interlayer coupling, which is confirmed by longitudinal magneto-optical...

construction of vector fields with positive lyapunov exponents

in this thesis our aim is to construct vector field in r3 for which the corresponding one-dimensional maps have certain discontinuities. two kinds of vector fields are considered, the first the lorenz vector field, and the second originally introced here. the latter have chaotic behavior and motivate a class of one-parameter families of maps which have positive lyapunov exponents for an open in...

Spectrum of the cavity-QED microlaser: strong coupling effects in the frequency pulling at off resonance.

We report the first experimental observation of the cavity-QED microlaser spectrum, specifically the unconventional frequency pulling brought by a strong atom-cavity coupling at off resonance. The pulling is enhanced quadratically by the atom-cavity coupling to result in a sensitive response to the number of pumping atoms (2.1 kHz per atom maximally). Periodic variation of the pulling due to th...

Tetracyanide-bridged divanadium complexes: redox switching between strong antiferromagnetic and strong ferromagnetic coupling.

Reaction of [(Me3tacn)V(CF3SO3)3] (Me3tacn = N,N',N''-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) with LiCN in DMF results in oligomerization of cyanide to form [(Me3tacn)2V2(CN)4(mu-C4N4)]. The structure of this binuclear complex features a planar tetracyanide unit bridging two VIV centers via imido type linkages. The conjugated pathway provided by the bridging ligand leads to strong antiferromagnetic ...

Nonlinear spectroscopy in the strong-coupling regime of cavity QED

A nonlinear spectroscopic investigation of a strongly coupled atom-cavity system is presented. A two-field pump-probe experiment is employed to study nonlinear structure as the average number of intracavity atoms is varied from N̄'4.2 to N̄'0.8. Nonlinear effects are observed for as few as 0.1 intracavity pump photons. A detailed semiclassical simulation of the atomic beam experiment gives reason...
